Hey guys,
My German is very rusty (tut mir Leid!), but I saw that you mentioned my article on trophy-based storytelling in this episode of what looks to be a very interesting podcast. I’d love to hear what you all thought of it — and, if the work of With a Terrible Fate interests you, we’d be more than happy to be guests on your podcasts, if that interests you (we also have a podcast, so we’d be happy to reciprocate and host your team as guests!).
You can reach me at withaterriblefate@gmail.com if you’d like to reply to this comment and keep the conversation going.
Bis bald,
Aaron.
Dear Aaron,
thank you so much for being in touch!
Indeed, I find your elaborations on the intertextual function of trophies and trophy descriptions quite intriguing. On the show, I included your article as a reading tip, since illustrating your analysis would have entailed considerable story spoilers for FF VII Remake. Regardless, it‘s a wonderful read and a bright interpretation! We have done a couple of episodes on the apparent appeal and textual (mostly subversive) function of trophies before and thus it fit very well into our show.
Regarding a mutual guest appearance: I‘d be happy to arrange for that. I‘m going to be in touch via email presently.
Thanks again and kind regards,
Stefan
